If Truth did AI Analyses!
The web of lies that Mr Jolley had spun was intricate, but it was clear to anyone who examined the evidence that his story didn't add up. The truth was that Jolley had barely been involved in the incident at all, yet he was now trying to shift the blame onto others. The reality was that on a spring day in 2019, Mr McMillan and I had witnessed the couple causing a disturbance and made the decision to bar them from the hotel. McMillan had specifically asked Jolley to get a clear photo of the couple so all staff could identify them, but Jolley had conveniently failed to do so, despite the couple being in full view of multiple cameras. This was the first of many lies, as Jolley tried to distance himself from any responsibility.
On the day of the incident, Jolley had not even been present when I approached the couple and calmly asked them to leave. He arrived later, at the same time as the police, yet he claimed to have seen and heard things that were simply not possible. His statement that I was 'screaming' at the couple was a blatant falsehood, as was his assertion that I had caused the glass to be smashed. The CCTV footage, which Jolley himself had provided to the police, clearly showed the boy running back and smashing the window with a beer can – a direct contradiction to Jolley's lie.
It was astonishing that Jolley felt he could get away with such a flimsy fabrication of events. His absence during the key moments of the incident was clear, yet he continued to weave a tale that placed him at the center of a fictional narrative. The truth was simple: the couple had been barred by management, and the subsequent disturbance and damage to property had been caused by the couple, not by any actions of the hotel staff. It was time for Jolley's lies to be exposed, and for the true story to come to light.
