Battleaxes required for La La Land
As some of you may have seen my new mission is to bring back the 'Battleaxe', which is a frightening and unpleasant older woman with strong opinions.
A mission inspired by the annual safeguarding meeting where the head safeguarder told everyone there's been just the one safeguarding incident (within an 8 mile radius) in the last year, to which someone said does that include the two that I was told all about by the counties head safeguarder?
To which she claimed to know nothing about despite the information being put on her desk and proven to have been sent to her electronically, which she in initially replied to and reminded of at the meeting by the person who put the information on her desk.
The worrying thing is that everyone still goes to this women with any safeguarding concerns, and as you may have read in previous posts if she doesn't suppress the information, she'll get her friends to ensure that information doesn't reach the light of day!!!
There's a reason why I'm The World Safeguarding Record Holder; if I don't do anything, nobody will; as they know they will become outcasts in a lovely lovely area where there is nothing to do except say how lovely everything & everyone is!! #lalaland
It appears the act of being a Battle-axe became very unpopular due to their depiction in 'Carry On' films and Ena Sharples in Coronation Street.
Ladies (and gentlemen) you need to rejoice in your ability to know right from wrong, and ensure you tell everyone about it and confront anyone you know is in the wrong. Don't let popular TV & comedy deter you from speaking your mind and being who you want to be, or stopping what any decent person would want stopping through your desire and love of speaking out and getting involved in creating a great life for all!
