Effects of trauma on men
We need to start talking about the effects of trauma on men
So we'll start with 'everyday traumas' such as when a bunch of your friends have been killed in a car crash!
It can lead to traumatised men remaining friends with people who've admitted to the police what they do to children in public toilets, who then go on to deny it all in court!
But they will unfriend the person on FB who has taken them court as they can't deal with hearing about more #trauma, though they're ok with their other friends creating the trauma for others! Hence you've got no chance of creating a well balanced society when everyone is ok with abuse and abusers, but reporters and whistle blowers are far to triggering for them to deal silently with their grief/trauma!
Whilst individuals can be affected by tragic experiences (such as the above) which leaves them as just a passenger in life, men who were severely traumatised through being raped mostly go through life pretending it hasn't happened! Which can lead to alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide or a lifetime of stress which has a knock on effect to all around them!
In semi-rural and rural areas particularly, men will never admit to being raped or sexually abused, or report their rapist! This allows the rapist to continue raping for life because the victim can't comprehend that if they'd reported him it would of gone a long way towards stopping him but "there's no way they are talking about 'their business' and why should they stop their attacker from attacking others as its nothing to do with them"!
Hence, cultures of entrenched abuse are created within several generations and so it becomes normalised along with keeping quiet about it! As everyone else does, so they will be outcast from their miserable community that they love so much because they don't have 'the tools' to deal with the world around them, which they would have if they knew they wouldn't be called an 'f word' by all their friends if they spoke out!
